Application Settings
Within the Temple application, you can adjust several settings to optimize your experience.
Audio Settings
When you first enter the application, you will be prompted to test your headphones and your microphone.
We recommend using headphones to enjoy the guiding narration, meditations, and avatar voice interactions that are an integral part of the experience.
If you need to adjust the settings later on, you can do so by selecting the “gear” symbol on the left menu bar (illustrated below) and navigating to the Audio settings section.
Performance Settings
Within the application, you can navigate to the Settings page by selecting the “gear” symbol on the left menu bar.
There are 3 performance settings available based on your preferences and needs:
Best performance (default option) = decreases the graphical quality (most notably, lights and textures) to improve performance
Best quality = increases the graphics quality to the maximum settings
Balanced = a middle ground between best performance and best quality
If you are using a device that does not meet the minimum technical requirements described above, we recommend selecting the “best performance” option.
Navigation Settings
There are a few different ways to navigate your avatar through the Temple!
The default options include the arrow keys and the left mouse click.
With the arrow keys, you can move forward and backward with the “up” and “down” arrow keys and turn right and left with the “right” and “left” arrow keys.
Alternatively, you can point your cursor (represented by a blue ring) anywhere on the playa or in the Temple and left-click to select your target destination.
These settings can be customized (for example, if you prefer to use the WASD configuration) by selecting the “gear” symbol on the left menu bar (illustrated to the left) and navigating to the Keyboard settings section.
